This website is my means to share my two cents with the world. I am some what of a technology geek and embrace technology to hopefully make each day a little easier for myself and those i come in contact with.
My interest in technology was sparked when I took a basic computer programming early on in college. I liked the idea of being able to tell the computer to do something and quickly get results. As I progressed further into my studies I began to become more aware of how technology was changing in my workplace as well as my personal life. My technology education allowed me to understand how data moved and interacted within a system and I have been able to use this to my advantage.
I have spent a number of years in logistics management working for both large and small companies. I enjoy this field of work because proper planning can make your day run smoothly. However, there will always be days when something goes wrong and you have to give 110% in order to still meet or exceed your customer’s expectations. Technology provides a means to gather data and execute well developed plans but being able to react quickly when something goes wrong is often best done with the human element.
There is not a day that goes by that I do not see a person or a business that could be helped by technology. Therefore, I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology from Kaplan University. I believe that proper implementation of technology is a key component in implementing efficiency in the workplace and for some in their personal lives.
I am currently in the processing of learning how to develop application for mobile devices. People no longer carry phones they carry computers with them. Being able to develop applications for mobile ‘computers’ is the something I find fascinating. While I do not think the feature phone will disappear in my lifetime the number of people that switch to and rely on their smartphone will continue to skyrocket.
